Meet Mrs. Deby Eaton
Hi! I’m the Parish Secretary at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. I began working here part-time in July 2015, primarily to support the new school fundraising and assist with general office duties.
I live in Energy, Illinois, and am married to Larry Eaton. We have three daughters: Julie (Blaine) Osman, Joanie (Brandon) Elders, and Jackie (Brandon) Killion. We also have seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. My other part-time job over the past 22 years is managing rental properties for the Pisoni family.
I have been a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church since 1967. My parents (Buck & Chloe Hamblin) moved to Herrin when I was in fifth grade, when we attended St. Mary’s, as it was previously known. Nearly all my children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews have attended OLMC School and been members of OLMC Church.
Working at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel has been a blessing! Getting to stay in touch with the families, new members and the school is the best part of the job. I love it all, and it is never the same!
