Meet Mrs. Karen Graul
Hello! My name is Karen Graul and I have the pleasure of being a nurse / teacher’s aide at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Regional Catholic School. My Italian family has deep roots in the Herrin area and at this school. I have two children, Keith Walker, (an OLMC graduate) and my daughter, Alison Graul. My husband, Brad, and I live in Energy. I am an alumni of both OLMC and Herrin High School.
I completed my LPN Certification in 1985, and later obtained my RN in 1990. For 32 years, I worked throughout the Herrin Hospital in a variety of areas. My favorite hobby is reading. I also enjoy traveling, especially on cruises! My favorite sport is high school football, but I also enjoy basketball, baseball, hockey and drag racing.
It is almost full circle for me to be working at OLMC. I love the enthusiasm from the teachers and students and I enjoy sharing in their excitement and eagerness for learning.
